Dreams are God’s ways of pointing out I have the possibility of achieving excellence in MY life!
Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for the Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 (NRSV)
Mistakes made in our pasts can seem crippling. Sometimes we wonder if a past event has ruined our future. But it need not be that way. If our mistakes soften our hearts and better prepare us to seek wisdom in the future, then even those mistakes are redeemed; they become a part of our sacred journey and God's continuing story.
If you're tired of living a lackluster life, you can step out and start developing yourself.
7 steps to achieve excellence
(As Quoted from: ezinearticles.com)
1.- Unbury those dreams. Every great achievement started with a dream, and there is one lurking deep down in your heart right now.
2.- Discover your unique skills and talents. You'll probably find them in whatever you do in your free time. Close friends can also help you identify what you are good at.
3.- Figure out how you can develop your gifts and talents even further. Don't worry if you have a long way to go, just take a step at a time. But start.
4.- Be prepared to work hard. It won't fall into your lap. Changes require effort. Determine to be diligent. You'll love to learn about something you love doing.
5.- Find at least one good mentor. It can be in the form of a book, a course or a personal mentor. The Internet is a great source nowadays.
6.- Set long term and intermediate goals you want to reach. A goal is a dream with a deadline. Write them down.
7.- Stick close to God. That will keep you going when the going gets tough.
